Private Home Care Packages or Home Help is a service which provides assistance, to people remain living safely and comfortably in their own home by supporting them with personal care.
Support with healthy meal preparation, motivating to engage in exercise and various activities, support with household tasks such as cleaning, lighting fires etc. Each person and their individual care needs can be considered and a care plan put in place to meet their needs.
Activities of the home care assistant are directed by the client, family members or home help supervisor who is employed by the HSE NW region.
